Imitate Jesus
January 10, 2021 | Imitate Jesus | Mark 1:4-11 Imitation is core to the idea of rabbinic teaching. Jesus fell in line with the teachings of John the day that he chose to go and be baptized by him. He chose to be associated with a ministry that preaching repentance and forgiveness of sins. This was the start of his ministry among men. As such, we choose to imitate Christ by beginning our discipleship process with baptism as well.

Anno Domini—Latin for “in the Year of Our Lord”. AD—for Christians, time as we know it is grounded in the birth of Christ among us! So, why not ground the year before us in the same truth? As we begin 2021 together, let’s focus on the beginning of Christ’s ministry and ground ourselves again in the foundation of his ministry. For this series, we will be following the Gospel Lectionary passages of John and Mark.
