“And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord” (Psalm 40:3).
The great composer Johann Sebastian Bach said, “The aim and final reason of all music is none else but the glory of God and the refreshment of the spirit.” Our church is blessed to have gifted singers and skilled instrumentalists, both professional and lay musicians, who participate in our ministry week after week. It is our goal to present music that glorifies, edifies, and ministers all those who choose to worship with us.

CHOIR
The Adult Choir is one of the most active musical groups in our church as they lead the congregation in Classic Worship each Sunday. No audition is necessary. The only requirements are a love for Christ, a love for music, and the desire to strive for excellence in using your gifts for ministry. Rehearsals are held 6:15-7:30 PM on Wednesdays.
handbells
The Jubilation Ringers are an advanced-level handbell ensemble. This ensemble stretches even an experienced musician’s skill and technique. This talented group of ringers play regularly in our Classic Service, for special musical events, and in the community. The team is not currently meeting for rehearsals.
instrumentalists
Instrumentalists at Central Baptist are gifted musicians who love sharing their God-given talents with the congregation. Many different instruments are used in our worship services: organ, piano, keyboard, strings, acoustic guitars, drums, brass, electric guitars and bass. Contact Us for more information.

The A/V Tech Team is made up of individuals who love God, have a heart for worship, and enjoy using their technical skills in providing tech support to our worship experiences. Contact Us for more information.
youth choir
Youth Choir is a dynamic ministry open to all students in grades 6-12. Our Youth Choir provides ministry and fellowship opportunities designed to glorify and praise God through the use of music in our worship services, as well as ministering on life-changing adventures to places such as New York City, St. Simon’s Island, Miami, Vancouver BC, Appalachia and the greater Knoxville Area. Rehearsals are held at 12:00 PM on Sundays – lunch is served before at 11:30am.
children’s choir
Our Children’s Choirs are staffed by talented spiritual leaders committed to sharing the love of God with children. Choir teachers model for children the joy of worshipping the Lord through His gift of music. Priority is given to instrumental exploration, music fundamentals, and opportunities to lead in worship. Children’s Choirs are for four-year-olds through Grade 5. 3-5 Grades rehearse from 6-6:45pm and 1-2 Grades rehearse from 6:45-7:30pm.
